Education:
1978-82 Studied at The Icelandic College of Art & Crafts. Graduated from the Department of Sculpture.
1984-85 Student at Fachhochschule Aachen, Germany.
1985-88 M.A. degree from The National Higer Institud of Fine Art, Antwerpen, Belgium.
Teaching:
1981-84 and 1988-1999 Teacher at The Icelandic College og Art & Craft.
1994-97 Head teacher of the Department of Sculpture.
Achievenment:
1981 The Icelandic Aluminium Co. Ltd. For “From Thingvellir” relief in aluminium
1987 Awarded special prize for a sculpture in bronze from the “Club der XII” in Antwerp, Belgium.
1989 Awarded the first prize for a monument on the accasion of the 50th Anniversary of passenger flights in Iceland. The Sculpture “Farið” was unveiled the 3th of June on Strandgata, Akureyri, Iceland.
1991-92 Worked on “Partnership” two indentifical sculpures for the 50th Anniversary of political relations between Iceland and USA. One is placed in Reykjavík and the other in Miami, Florida. They are the lagest sculputes in bronze completely made in Iceland.
1993 Worked on the sculpture “Við Ægisdyr” for Garðabær.
1994 Chosen to design a sculpture on the accasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Iceland Steamship Co.Ltd. The sculpture “Fyrir stafni” is in bronze and is 7m high.
1994-95 Worked on the sculptue “Uppspretta”. Placed by the church Vidalínskirkja in Garðabær. The sculpture incorporating the flow of water.
1997 Designed “The President of Iceland´s Export Award”
1997 Designed a sculpture on the acassion of the 75th Anniversary of the firm Héðinn Ltd. The sculptue “Samspil” is made from 65mm thick steel and wights 7500 kg.
1999 Designed a sculpture on the acassion og the 100th Anniversary of “KR” Reykjavík´s Soccer Club. The sculpture is made of bronze and glass. In it is a torc that is lighted on special occasion.
2001 Worked on a babtismal font for the church Vidilínskirkja in Garðabær.
2006 Worked on a sculpture made in memory of “Sigurjón Rist”.
